1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember preferences, and analyse usage patterns. We also use similar technologies: tracking pixels (small pieces of code that record when a page is accessed), local storage, and similar identifiers. In this policy, the term “cookies” covers all of these.

Cookies may be “session” cookies (deleted when the browser is closed) or “persistent” cookies (remaining on the device for a set period), and either “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by other providers, such as Google or Meta).

2. Legal basis

Under Art. 4 of Law No. 506/2004 and the GDPR: cookies strictly necessary for the Site's operation are used without consent, on the basis of technical necessity. All other categories (analytics, marketing, third-party) are activated only after you have given your consent through the cookie banner. Consent is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous; withholding it does not restrict your access to the Site. You may withdraw it at any time, with effect for the future.

3. Categories of cookies used

a) Essential (strictly necessary) cookies. Necessary for the Site's basic operation: security, load balancing, remembering your cookie choices. They cannot be disabled from the banner (they can be blocked from the browser, but the Site may then malfunction). No consent required.

b) Analytics (performance) cookies. Google Analytics 4 — collects aggregated information about how the Site is used: pages visited, time spent, traffic source, device type. It helps us understand what works and what needs improvement. Activated only with consent.

c) Marketing (advertising) cookies. Meta Pixel — measures the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and enables the display of relevant ads (remarketing) to people who have visited the Site. Activated only with consent.

d) Third-party cookies from embedded content. If we embed external content (for example, videos or social media elements), the relevant providers may set their own cookies, governed by their own policies. These load only after consent has been given for the corresponding category.

5. Managing and withdrawing consent

On your first visit, the cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or customise your choice by category. Your choice is remembered; non-essential cookies do not load until you have given consent.

You may change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

In addition, you can manage cookies through your browser settings (blocking, deleting, notification upon setting). Instructions for common browsers are available on the Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge support pages. Blocking essential cookies may affect the Site's functioning. To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, you can install Google's official opt-out add-on; for Meta advertising preferences, you can use your Meta account settings.

6. Consent management platform (CMP)

For compliance purposes, we use / will use a Consent Management Platform (recommended: CookieYes or Complianz) that: blocks non-essential cookies until consent is given; provides “Accept all” and “Reject all” buttons with equal prominence; allows granular choice by category; retains proof of consent; and keeps the cookie list up to date.
