BATCH is a Wisconsin born wellness brand built around hemp derived products that make it easier for adults to feel calmer, more balanced, and more like themselves, without the intimidation or confusion people often associate with cannabis. Challenges and Objectives

As with many DTC brands, the main challenge was making new customer acquisition work profitably at scale. BATCH already had a strong foundation: clear product market fit, strong lifetime value, and three industry experienced founders who were aligned, decisive, and willing to move fast. After auditing the account, we pinpointed two main constraints holding Meta back: the absence of a clean, scalable media buying system, and a creative approach that wasn’t fully leveraging the brand’s strongest lever.

The objective was simple: transform Meta into the engine driving sustained growth.

Strategy

BATCH had a story worth telling, but the people behind it were missing from paid media. Ads leaned heavily on UGC creators and static images, while the founders, and the mission that built the brand, were largely invisible, which diluted trust and differentiation. At the same time, the creative did not reflect the audience that was actually responding and converting. Many ads centered on younger creators, but the highest intent segment skewed more mature and was actively looking for practical wellness solutions.

The strategic shift was to rebuild the creative ecosystem around founder-led storytelling and tighter audience alignment. Instead of generic creator ads, we worked closely with the BATCH team to turn the founders into the face of the brand, not as spokespersons reading scripts, but as real operators explaining the why, the standards, and the outcomes customers care about. This made the ads feel grounded, credible, and specific, which increased trust in a category where skepticism is common.

To keep performance scalable, we treated creative as a structured testing program. Each concept was built as a variable system, one core idea with multiple hook angles, openings, and narrative paths, so we could learn faster and avoid relying on one off winners. We prioritized formats that allowed the founders’ voice to carry, short direct explanations, personal moments, and product in routine storytelling, then paired them with supporting UGC to maintain variety without drifting away from the brand’s most persuasive asset.

Over the last two years, BATCH scaled from an industry player to a clear category leader. Revenue grew by roughly 6x within our first year together, then increased by an additional ~2x with our second year, showing compounding growth rather than a one time spike.

Meta became the main growth lever behind this trajectory. Ad spend increased by approximately ~15x within our first year together, while ROAS improved by around ~70%. In the following year, spend scaled a further ~55%, while maintaining profitability, proving the system held at higher budgets.

From industry player to industry leader
